Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc.


A private , faith based , not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing medical, dental and health-related human services to low-income families and the uninsured in South Texas.  these services include primary care medical and dental  clinics support services like counseling, case management and social services, family wellness and parenting programs and church-based community nursing programs.

The Wesley Nurse Program has 2 nurses stationed in Atascosa County.  They are Linda Harper at 830-569-6450 for Pleasanton and Wendy Hilburn at 830-742-8780 for Poteet.  Business hours are from 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Wesley Nurse program spans 80 sites throughout South Texas and is Methodist Healthcare Ministries' largest geographic outreach program.  Wesley Nurses provide health education, health promotion and facilitation of resources.  They assist individuals and communities in achieving improved health and wellness through self-empowerment and access to healthcare resource information.
