Healthy Rural Texas

Services Provided: Healthy Rural Texas, previously known as Healthy Frio, includes a 12-week program that promotes a healthier lifestyle through physical activity, healthy eating, and skill-building to maintain healthy habits. Trained staff will help families make healthier food choices, be active as a family, and share health information.   FREE healthy lifestyle program
Program participants well get access to:
  • Health Educator 
  • Low-cost recipes
  • Online physical activity sessions.

Cost of Services:  Free 12 week healthy lifestyle program developed by experts at The University of Texas at Austin with community partners.  We are committed to helping families gain knowledge and skills they need to eat better and be more active all from the comfort of their own home.

Eligibility Requirements: 
We are looking for families with children between 8-17 years old to join our free virtual program. Families who join can earn up to $290.00
